Why fly with Mango Airlines?
MANGO is currently under business rescue and not operating until further notice.
Mango was established in 2006 as a low-cost carrier airline. Mango operates routes such as Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Zanzibar, George, Port Elizabeth, East London.
At Mango, the safety of their clients always comes first – adding to why they’re the most loved, affordable airline in South Africa. They are one of the best on-time and low-cost airlines in South Africa with a range of destinations to fly to, making travel in South Africa an affordable option.
At Mango, we require an infant to be older than seven (7) days, in order to board the aircraft and be considered a Mango Guest. Infants younger than seven (7) days will not be carried on board Mango flights; a birth certificate must be presented at check-in. An infant is allowed to sit on an adult’s lap on-board Mango aircraft, provided that they are (i) older than seven days and (ii) younger than 24 months (2 years). Infant twins must be accompanied by two adults. A maximum of two (2) infants per seat row are allowed – i.e. a row of six (6) seats. Only one infant per Guest is allowed. Guests who are carrying infants and seated immediately behind a bulkhead must use the infant restraint belt. An infant may also travel in the arms or on the lap of an adult Guest. Parents may bring an approved child safety seat into the aircraft, similar to that used in a car. However, this seat will form part of your onboard baggage allowance.
When flying Mango, you can look forward to a variety of delicious and nutritious onboard refreshments on sale. Our food and beverage offering has recently been updated. If you are a MangoPlus Guest, you receive a voucher to be redeemed for snacks and beverages. Although we do not cater for special needs meals, Guests requiring Halaal, Kosher, Vegan or medially specified meals such as diabetic meals are most welcome to bring their own snacks for consumption on board. For more information on what type of beverages and snacks can be bought on board Mango’s aircraft, please refer to Mango Juice Magazine.
Regulations allow you to take one piece on board with you, the weight of which should not exceed 7kg. You may also take one other small personal bag which is to be stored beneath the seat in front of you.
