Ethiopian Airlines allows you to bring baggage to the aircraft cabin but under certain conditions. Baggage should fit in the overhead or seat compartment. The maximum dimensions are 23 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm. Passengers with an economy class air ticket can bring one unit of hand baggage with a maximum weight of 7 kg, while business class passengers - two units. Regardless of the chosen class, the passenger can also carry a bag, a briefcase or a laptop bag with a maximum weight of 5 kg free of charge. For safety reasons, it is prohibited to carry certain types of lithium batteries, explosives and flammable substances, compressed gas cylinders or poisonous substances, e.g. insecticides, in-cabin and hand baggage at Ethiopian Airlines. Some items not allowed in hand baggage may, however, be carried in hold baggage. Such items include, for example, knives or penknives. People arriving at the airport should arrive at the airport one hour before the planned international flight and 45 minutes before the domestic flight in order to allow time to register baggage and pass security checks.
